Micro Scooters aren't just for kids

When making #TeamHonkRelay preparations with Hex Mum we chatted about several different ideas of how we would cover the miles between Southwold, Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth and finally Norwich. One of the suggestions was to scoot, half mentioned as a joke. Last year Roo was lucky enough to review the Micro Scooters Maxi which she loves to scoot backwards and forwards to school etc. So I contacted them to see whether they would be able to help Hex Mum and I cover some of the many miles that we were soon about to face. Thankfully they agreed and sent over two Micro Scooters Sprites to get us moving.

Micro Scooters Sprite, what Micro Scooters say...

Looking for a robust, easy folding scooter for your child? Then you are in the right place! Great for children aged 5-12 years who are new to two wheeled scooting.
  • The Sprite is excellent value for money and the best model for beginners to two-wheeled scooting
  • The Micro Sprite is lightweight and fold-able making it easy to transport
  • Steers like a bike with 360 degree turning
  • Ideal for your child to scoot to school and for you to scoot home!
  • Suitable for ages 5-12yrs
I did laugh when I looked at the above description as it states beginners, they sure had the measure of us two... I can't even tell you the last time I was on a scooter. At first glance you might look at the Micro Sprite and think that it isn't suitable for adults however with a weight limit of 100kg it will more than hold the average adult. Available in eight different colours and prices starting at £54.95.

Micro Scooters Sprite

Arriving in good time before our relay leg you would have thought we would have taken this opportunity to get some practice in, however bar a few trail scoots around the dining room I never even ventured outdoors. However, on the big day itself I managed to scoot along at a comfortable pace... it's quite surprising just how much speed you can pick up whilst scooting along.

With an easy adjustable handle and the ability to fold it down when not in use has got me wondering whether I could start completing the school run on my scooter alongside Roo... maybe throw in a few scooter races to get are hearts pumping. It just goes to show that Micro Scooters aren't just for kids!

Disclosure: Great Yarmouth Team Honk received two Micro Scooters Sprites FOC for the purpose of our fundraising, I was not asked to write about the scooter but honestly this could be my new fitness friend.
